My name is Amanda Benson, and I am proud to work with the community on behalf of New American Funding. As a highly-skilled Sr. Loan Consultant, NMLS #1232051, my goal is to provide the best customer service possible along with knowledgeable, unbiased advice.

It may sound cliché, but mortgage lending was my destiny. Most of my family have been in the business at one point or another, including parents, aunts, and uncles. I spent afternoons as a young child coloring in the conference room of a mortgage lending office.

Promptly after high school, I started college with every intention of making my own path in the sciences. I have a biological sciences degree among a few others. I thought I would pursue Orthodontics, then considered Healthcare management. When I started at California State University Sacramento, I switched gears to business administration. That is when mortgage lending pulled me back in.

I finished my degree as a full-time student while working full time as a production assistant to a leading area loan officer. I quickly grew to love the puzzle of qualifying buyers – every situation is unique. Even more so, the rewarding feeling of helping a well deserving buyer to obtain the keys to their new home.

In the years that have led to now being named in the top 1% of mortgage loan officers nationwide, I have created lasting relationships with people across California as their lender for life. There is no greater compliment then knowing my commitment, integrity, and knowledge of the industry does not go unnoticed through repeat customers and customer referrals.

(Cash purchase defined when a Property Sold record does not have a Mortgage Balance.) Data coverage is limited by available MLS coverage. Certain geographies like Georgia (especially Central GA) and Vermont were impacted by this data availability. Land sales and manufactured (MFR) home sales are excluded from the dataset.
